The total number of voting citizens registered in the Electoral Register on March 2 is 18,275,109, 3,107 higher than at the time of the last public update issued by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) on this topic, on 3 February 2016.
According to a release sent by the AEP to Agerpres, discrepancies occur as a result of the current operations carried out by mayors in the Electoral Register of the administrative-territorial units.
The Electoral Register is structured on counties, cities, towns and communes for the Romanian citizens residing in the country.
